Crime Victims Rights Toolkit

Working with the Ohio Crime Victim Justice Center and its founder Cathy Harper Lee the Crime Victims Rights Toolkit was unveiled today at the CPD Training Academy- and is posted and available in the Victim Witness Advocate section of this website to supplement our daily work protecting survivors/victims of violent crimes. Protect your teen from sexting

Instances of sexting among teens has become increasingly prevalent in recent years. Many students, parents, and educators are not fully aware that sexting is illegal and the potential consequences for doing so. Ron O’Brien is taking a proactive approach to address this disturbing trend. In an effort to engage the community, the Prosecutor's Office is now offering workshops and assemblies to schools in Franklin County to fully discuss the sexting issue. The goal is to provide the information necessary to prevent juveniles from being charged with serious offenses.


The Office of the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney exists pursuant to the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code. The office consists of 116 assistant prosecuting attorneys along with 108 employees that make up the support staff.

The Prosecuting Attorney represents the State of Ohio by inquiring into and prosecuting felony crimes committed by adults and all offenses committed by juveniles. The Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney is also legal counsel for county officials, county agencies, townships and various boards.
