SUSPECT INDICTED FOR BREAKING IN TO OVER A DOZEN LOCATIONS PRIMARILY IN THE CLINTONVILLE AREA OVER A TWO MONTH TIME SPAN

Franklin County Prosecutor said, “This man, and occasionally his girlfriend, broke in to over a dozen small businesses and residences in the Clintonville area, stealing cash, electronics, guns, and other miscellaneous items.”    Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against William Robert Hobbs, age 26, for fifteen break-ins over a two month time period.  Hobbs has been indicted for nine counts (F-5) Breaking and Entering, one count (M-1) Attempted Breaking and Entering, five counts (F-2) Burglary, two counts (F-3) Grand Theft When the Property is a Firearm or Dangerous Ordinance with Specification, and one count (F-4) Grand Theft, for a total of eighteen counts.  The indictment alleges Hobbs broke in to the following locations:

Hobbs girlfriend, Amy Natasha Slone, age 34, has been indicted for one of the break-ins that occurred at Jekyll and Hyde Salon and one of the residence break-ins.  O’Brien stated, “It is very rare to see this many break-ins in the same part of town over a two month span”.  O’Brien commended the Columbus Police Department for their investigation in this case.  Arraignment for Hobbs is set for Friday, January 27, 2017, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
