TWO UNRELATED STABBING MURDERS INDICTED

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “Sadly we have two unrelated cases of violence where both victims were stabbed to death.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned two separate and unrelated indictments against Tyler Eugene Green, age 25, and David Jonathan Morrison, age 24.  Green has been indicted for one count of Aggravated Murder and two counts of Murder.  Morrison has been indicted for two counts of Murder and one count of Tampering with Evidence, for a total of three counts in each indictment.

On June 20, 2017, Green and his mother Lisa Alsaadon, age 52 were allegedly involved in an arguement at the apartment they shared on the east side of town, where Green removed a steak knife from his pocket and stabbed her in the chest.  His mother was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

On June 22nd, 2017, police responded to an apartment on Berry Leaf Grove on the northeast side of town, on the report of a stabbing incident that had occurred.  The victim, Omar Alston, age 31 had several samurai sword stab wounds that were allegedly the result of an attack by his roommate David Jonathan Morrison, age 24.  Alston was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Both Green and Morrison are scheduled to be arraigned next Monday, July 3rd, at 9:00 am in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
