Case Update

On April 21, Daniel Newsome, 32, pled guilty to two counts of murder related to two 2021 stabbings in the Worthington neighborhood. The sentences will run concurrent to each other and concurrent to a case he has in the state of Maryland.

Franklin County Judge Jaiza Page sentenced Newsome to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 15 years.

Case Background

On August 23, 2021, Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of E. Dublin Granville Rd to speak with the manager of an apartment complex. The manager had been checking in on a resident, when she found the resident Christina Antoline, 40, laying on the floor, unresponsive. The manager left the apartment and contacted the police. Officers responded and checked the entire apartment and found a second victim, Randall M. Davis, 66, in the bedroom, also unresponsive. Both victims had multiple stab wounds and cuts all over their bodies.

An investigation concluded that Newsome had committed the murders and fled the State of Ohio shortly after. Newsome was indicted on December 11, 2023.

Bryan Potter and Madeline Holvey were the prosecutors on this case.
