The Special Victims Unit is comprised of one Director, one Senior Assistant Prosecutor, and seven Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys. They prosecute cases involving murders of children and domestic partners, sexual assaults, domestic violence, stalking, child abuse, child pornography, and human trafficking. They handle these specialized cases from indictment to conviction, and sometimes beyond. These prosecutors work closely with the Victim Witness Assistance Unit, the victims and their family members, numerous law enforcement agencies, as well as doctors, nurses, and other staff members at the Center for Family Safety and Healing at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
