GRANDFATHER INDICTED FOR STABBING HIS 20 MONTH OLD GRANDSON WITH A BUTCHER KNIFE

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said, "This toddler had wounds to his head and neck after being attacked with a butcher knife by his grandfather." Prosecutor Ron O'Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment on Abdulkadir Banow Iman, age 52, in connection to the July 19th, 2017 attack that took place at 5595 Sierra Ridge Drive in Columbus where Iman repeatedly stabbed his grandson. Iman has been indicted for one count of Felonious Assault (F-2) and one count Endangering Children (F-2), for a total of two counts. On that morning, police were dispatched to the residence on the report of the stabbing and medics transported the toddler to Children's Hospital. Arraignment for Iman will be set for Monday, July 31st at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
