Defendant: Jeffrey B. Hall

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien said, "This investment advisor let his license lapse in 2011, convinced numerous investors, or led them to believe he was still licensed to trade in their accounts, and caused investor losses in the hundreds of thousands of dollars." Prosecutor Ron O'Brien and the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Securities announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a 33 count indictment on Jeffrey B. Hall, age 54, which include counts of Unlawful Securities Practices, Attempted Unlawful Securities Practices, and Theft. The indictment alleges that between January 2012 to present, Hall made misrepresentations and failed to disclose material facts to six victims, which allowed Hall to gain control of the victim's investment and retirement accounts. Hall then made risky investments with the victim's funds, which resulted in losses in excess of over a half million dollars. Prosecutor O'Brien further stated, "If you believe you may be a victim in this case, please call the Division’s Investment Protection Hotline at 877/683-7841."
