DUBLIN SCIOTO HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER INDICTED FOR ENGAGING IN SEXUAL ACTS WITH STUDENT

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “While employed as a teacher, this man engaged in sexual acts with a female student for over half of a year.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted Gregory Richard Lee, age 52, for two counts of Sexual Battery (F-3). Lee was a teacher at Dublin Scioto High School at the time of the offenses, was placed on administrative leave, followed by the school district demanding his resignation. Between November 2016 and May 2017, it is alleged that Lee engaged in sexual acts with one of his female students in both his classroom and in his car at a public park. “If convicted on these charges, Lee faces numerous years of incarceration as well as registration as a sex offender,” O’Brien stated. O’Brien commended the Dublin Police Department for their investigation of this case. Arraignment for Lee is scheduled for Friday, August 25th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
