Defendant: Brionte Ramon Dunn

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Brionte Ramon Dunn, age 24, for three counts of Rape (F-1).  On August 20th, 2017, the victim received a phone call from Dunn at approximately 4:15 am asking for a ride.  She picked him up and drove him to her residence.  Under the impression that Dunn was going to take an Uber from there, the victim went to bed, only to be later raped by Dunn.  In February of 2017, Dunn pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor count of assault against a different woman that occurred in July of 2016.  Dunn was placed on probation for that assault through February of 2019.  Dunn was a former OSU football running back who was dismissed from the team after that offense. Arraignment for Dunn in this rape case is set for next Monday, October 16th, 2017 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B, at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
