Defendant: De'Andre D. Fleming

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This teenager threatened to shoot up Beechcroft High School and to kill the Assistant Vice Principal and the School Safety and Security Officer with an AR15 and Glock 17 with 19 rounds.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment on De’Andre D. Fleming, age 18, for one count of Inducing Panic (F-2), one count of Making Terroristic Threat (F-3), and two counts of Aggravated Menacing (M-1) in connection with the February 23rd, 2018 threat to shoot up Beechcroft High School located at 6100 Beechcroft Road.  It is alleged in O’Brien’s motion requesting the suspect to be held in jail without bond, that Fleming poses a danger to the community should he be released in light of the Beechcroft crimes as well as Fleming previously being adjudicated delinquent on two counts of Inducing Panic (F-2) after calling in six bomb threats to Woodward Park Middle School on five different dates in 2014.   Arraignment for Fleming is set for tomorrow, Friday, March 9th, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
