MURDER INDICTMENT FILED ON MAN FOR STABBING DEATH OF HIS PARTNER

Defendant: Anthony C. L. Wofford, III

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “Following an argument between two partners, the victim was stabbed to death as he tried to leave the residence.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a three count indictment on Anthony C. L. Wofford, III, age 26, in connection to the May 31st, 2018 murder of his partner Kendrick Daquan Wilkerson, age 27, that occurred at their apartment located at Hibernia Drive on the east side of Columbus.  The counts in Wofford’s indictment include two counts of Murder and one count of Felonious Assault.  Officers and medics were dispatched to the scene and found the victim stabbed numerous times and he was unresponsive.  He was pronounced deceased at the scene shortly thereafter.  There was also a juvenile present in the apartment at the time of the incident that was injured, but survived the attack.  Arraignment for this case is set for Monday, June 11th, 2018, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 South High Street in downtown Columbus.
