Defendant: Leo Duane Stanford, Jr.
Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This man waited in the early morning hours for the mother of his two children to come out of her home to catch a ride to work with her carpool, only for him to run up on the car and open fire on all three of the co-workers inside the car.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an eight count indictment on Leo Duane Stanford, Jr., age 21, in connection to the November 21st, 2018 murder of Tiarra Tasha Seals, age 22, and the attempted murder of her two co-workers Dwayne Madison and Dreamma Montgomery that occurred in front of her home located on Argyle Drive. The counts in Stanford’s indictment include Aggravated Murder, Murder, Attempted Murder, Felonious Assault, and Discharge of Firearm on or Near Prohibited Premises, with every count having a Firearm Specification. “Immediately following the shooting, the carpool driver Dwayne Madison, drove himself and the two women to the hospital. All three of the co-workers had been shot,” O’Brien stated. Seals was pronounced deceased upon arrival to the hospital, Madison was treated and released, and Montgomery remains hospitalized with life threatening injuries. Arraignment for Stanford is set for Monday, December 3rd, 2018, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 South High Street in downtown Columbus.
