STRANGER RAPE OF 34 YEAR OLD LINKED TO SUSPECT BY CODIS HIT

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “As this 34 year old victim was walking home, this man appeared out of nowhere, led her to a grassy field, and shoved her to the ground prior to raping her.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has indicted Stevie Lewis Black AKA Milton Wagner AKA Percy Moore AKA Stevie Patterson, age 53, in connection to a stranger rape that occurred on September 25th, 2018 near Lockbourne Road on the south east side of Columbus. Black has been indicted for one count of Kidnapping (F-1), one count of Rape (F-1), one count of Robbery (F-2), and one count of Robbery (F-3), for a total of four counts. The rape occurred shortly after noon, and following the attack, Black fled the scene with some of the victim’s property. “A DNA profile on the rapist was established and entered into CODIS. In November 2018 there was a CODIS hit to Stevie Lewis Black,” O’Brien stated. The victim was presented a photo array and was able to positively identify the suspect of the sexual assault. “Black was arrested in mid-January in Nashville, Tennessee and was extradited to Columbus on January 28th,” O’Brien further stated. Arraignment for Black is set for Friday, February 8th, 2019 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
