Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that Andrew Harris aka “Jamaican Rick”, age 53 was sentenced today after pleading guilty to one count of Human Trafficking, one count of Compelling Prostitution, and two counts of Promoting Prostitution.  In 2013 and 2014, Harris targeted women who were suffering from drug addiction, made them advertise sexual services online, and forced them to sell those sexual services primarily at motels on the north side of Columbus.  Harris used their addictions, along with physical violence to compel the females to engage in the sexual activity.  “Harris was sentenced today to 15 years in prison and was also classified as a Tier 2 sex offender.  Once released from prison he will be required to register with the County Sheriff every 180 days for 25 years after his release,” O’Brien stated.
