FORMER WBNS 10TV METEOROLOGIST MIKE DAVIS SENTENCED ON CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CHARGES

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that former WBNS 10TV meteorologist Michael G. Davis, age 60 was sentenced to a minimum of four years and to a maximum of six years in prison.  Over a period of several years, Davis had downloaded a significant amount of images depicting nude children and child pornography on several devices and was emailing the images and child pornography to himself.  On January 30, 2020,  Davis pled guilty to the indictment for two counts of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-2), one count of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-2), and one count of Pandering Sexually-Oriented Matter Involving a Minor (F-4), for a total of four counts.  Four of the most egregious images were selected for indictment.  “Davis was classified as a Tier 2 sex offender and must register with the County Sheriff’s office every 180 days for a period of 25 years once he is released from prison, as well as being on post release control for a period of 5 years,” O’Brien stated.
