MAN SENTENCED TO LIFE WITHOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE FOR THE RAPE AND MURDER OF ONE WOMAN AND THE RAPE OF TWO ADDITIONAL WOMEN

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “Within a five month time span, this man kidnapped and raped three women, killing one of them.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that Troy Len Hairston, age 49, was sentenced today after previously pleading guilty on July 30^th to the rape of a 70 year old woman that occurred on September 26^th, 2018, the rape of a 57 year old woman that occurred on February 24^th, 2019, and the rape and murder of Tonya Lanette Daniels, age 47, that also occurred on or about February 24^th, 2019. “Hairston also has two prior rape convictions from 1994,” O’Brien stated. Hairston was sentenced to life without the possibility parole.
