Defendant:

The prior version of this press release indicated Mr. Eisel was sentenced last week. Mr. Eisel is scheduled to be sentenced 10 March 2022.

The final defendant in a vicious, pre-planned murder pled guilty last week to murder and tampering with evidence for his role in the death of John Clinedinst in Prairie Township on September 24, 2019.  Judge Sheryl Munson in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas sentenced Tarayle Glick, 22, of Columbus to a prison term of life with the possibility of parole after 15 years. This brings to a close an investigation that resulted in three life sentences for the men directly responsible for the murder of Mr. Clinedinst, an elementary school bus driver.

“The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department conducted an excellent investigation into this brutal, calculated killing of a victim who spent his days busing children to and from elementary school. They should be commended for their efforts. Their work resulted in accountability for all defendants involved,” said Steve Schott, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney assigned to the case.

The Court will also sentence David Eisel on March 10, 2022.  The parties have recommended to the Court a prison term of 11-16.5 years for his plea to Voluntary Manslaughter for aiding the other three men carry out this murder on Mr. Clinedinst’s front doorsteps.
