Anthony Williams Found Guilty of Sexual Imposition
and Rape of a Child Under the Age of 13

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Anthony Williams, 31, of Columbus, was found guilty today of raping two young relatives. Williams had been charged in September 2020 with one count of gross sexual imposition and three counts of rape of a child under the age of 13, and today Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Andy Miller found Williams guilty on all four charges.
In early February 2020, two relatives of Williams, both under the age of 10, told their mother and grandmother that Williams had sexually assaulted them. After an investigation, Williams was charged with rape and sexual imposition and sent to the Franklin County jail, where he has been held since.
Williams’ sentencing is scheduled for May 23, 2023.
Judge Miller presided over the bench trial, which started on Monday, April 24, and ended this afternoon. Thomas Vaccaro, assistant prosecuting attorney, and Daniel Meyer, director of the criminal division-special victims unit, prosecuted the case for the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
