Ayub Issack Sentenced to at least 21 years in prison following guilty plea in 2022 shooting death.

On June 13, Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Mark Serrott sentenced Ayub Issack, 21, of Franklin County, to 21 to 26½ years in prison after Issack pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter with a three-year gun specification, having a weapon under disability, robbery and carrying a concealed weapon.
As to the involuntary manslaughter charge, On June 30, 2022, Issack got into an altercation with William Hinson in a parking lot along Hudson Street. Hinson was driving away in a vehicle when Issack drew a weapon and fired at the vehicle. Hinson died from the gunshot wounds.
A separate robbery case involving Issack happened on October 1, 2021. Issack attempted to rob Demetrius Moore of personal property. Issack inferred he was in possession of a handgun.
Investigators, with a warrant, relying on surveillance video and witness interviews, arrested Issack on July 5, 2022

Issack pled guilty and received a sentence to the following counts:
- • 11 to 16½ years for involuntary manslaughter
- • 1 year for carrying a concealed weapon
- • 3 years for the firearm specification
- • 3 years for having a weapon under disability
- • 3 years for robbery
