Phillip Wade Sentenced to 22 to 24 Years in Prison for a Series of Robberies in 2023

Phillip Wade, 34, of Gahanna was sentenced Feb. 29 to 22 to 24 years in prison by Franklin County Court of Common Pleas Judge Karen Phipps for a series of robberies he committed in 2023.
On Jan. 20, 2023, Wade entered a house, robbed the residents at gunpoint and locked them in a basement room before leaving. The following day, he committed four armed robberies of gas stations. A plain clothes officer with the Columbus Division of Police witnessed the fourth robbery and arrested Wade.
Wade pleaded guilty on Jan. 20, 2024, to eight charges related to the robberies, including two counts of robbery, three counts of aggravated robbery (one with a firearm specification), one count of kidnapping, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
