Defendant: Craig Riley Andrietti

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This man raped a teenager the first time he met her after chatting online together---which should be a wake-up call for users of these kind of apps.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a Delaware Ohio resident, Craig Riley Andrietti, age 23, in connection to the rape of a 17-year-old that occurred after Comfest on June 25, 2016.  Andrietti was indicted for two counts of Rape (F-1) and one count of Kidnapping (F-1).  Andrietti and the victim met online through a social networking application and had been chatting through the “Kik” application.  They arranged to meet in person for the first time at Comfest.  Following Comfest, the victim, her friends, and Andrietti went back to the victim’s house, which is where the rape occurred. Andrietti’s arraignment is set for July 5, 2015, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
