18 YEAR OLD SERIAL RAPIST INDICTED FOR 3 RAPES AT GUNPOINT OVER TWO MONTH TIME SPAN

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This man held a gun to his victims as he raped and then robbed them, all within a two month time frame.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a twenty-six count indictment on Adam Jamar Sesay, age 18, in connection to three rapes that occurred between March 28th and May 27th, 2016 in Columbus. Sesay has been indicted for multiple counts of Rape, Kidnapping, Aggravated Robbery, Robbery, and Receiving Stolen Property (all with Firearm Specifications). “DNA recovered from all three of the rape victim’s sexual assault exams matched Sesay”, O’Brien stated. Following one of the rapes, Sesay stole a vehicle from one of the victims. In the indictment, there is also one count of Improperly Handling Firearms In a Motor Vehicle. On July 2nd, Sesay was stopped while driving the stolen vehicle, was found to have an illegal handgun in the car, and he was arrested. There are also multiple counts of Having Weapons While Under Disabilty in the indictment, as Sesay was adjudicated a delinquent child of Aggravated Robbery on March 10, 2015, and cannot legally possess a firearm. Sesay has a pending case that was already indicted (Case No. 16CR3785) from the Improper Handling of a Firearm and WUD offenses that occurred when he was driving the vehicle he stole on July 2nd, which have been re-indicted in this current case, and that pending case will be Nolled. O’Brien commended the Columbus Police Department for their apprehension and on-going investigation of Sesay. Arraignment for Sesay is set for next Wednesday, August 10th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
