20 Year Old Indicted For Voluntary Manslaughter

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Donald Eugene Griffin III, age 20, for one count (F-1) Voluntary Manslaughter with Specification, in connection to the October 17, 2012 death of Quenton A. Savage, age 29, following a break in at the residence of Griffin’s mother. It is alleged that after hearing a noise upstairs, Griffin armed himself and went upstairs. Savage was shot and killed after he departed the residence and was no longer a threat. Savage was found face down on the patio outside the residence and was unarmed. Voluntary Manslaughter is a first degree felony punishable by a maximum penalty of eleven years.
