2009 Easton Town Center Robber Indicted

Defendant: Jay White
Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Jay Lamont White, age 37, for two counts (F-1) Aggravated Robbery, two counts (F-2) Robbery, two counts (F-3) Robbery, one count (F-1) Kidnapping, and one count (F-4) Theft, for a total of 8 counts, in connection to two robberies that occurred on October 13, 2009. At approximately 2:30 pm, White allegedly approached a woman who had just entered her vehicle located at 4005 Townsfair Way, he brandished a knife and demanded that she drive him to an ATM. The victim resisted the attack and escaped, however her car was taken during the incident. Later that same day, a victim was walking up the steps of her residence on Great Lawn Way when White allegedly approached her from behind, and demanded her money while holding her at knife point. Arraignment for White is set for tomorrow, September 7th, at 1:30 pm at 345 South High Street, 2nd Floor.
