28 YEAR OLD INDICTED FOR TWO FATAL SHOOTINGS IN REYNOLDSBURG

Defendant: Mario Dwayne Hamilton AKA Water

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Mario Dwayne Hamilton AKA Water, age 28, for one count of Murder with Specification (unclassified felony), one count of Attempted Murder with Specification (F-1), one count of Felonious Assault with Specification (F-2), one count of Aggravated Murder with Specification (unclassified felony), one count of Tampering with Evidence (F-3), and one count of Having Weapons While Under Disability (F-3), for a total of six counts, in connection to the April 10, 2016 shooting deaths of Van Douglas Darling III, age 25, and Janae Gresham, age 22, and the attempted murder of Enouch J. Kermue, age 27, that occurred in the early morning hours in Reynoldsburg.  The defendant was arrested at an apartment in close proximity of the homicides.  “If convicted, Hamilton faces the possibility of serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole”, O’Brien stated.  Hamilton will be arraigned on Friday, April 22nd at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
