9 PEOPLE INDICTED FROM SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA AND BATH SALT TRAFFICKING IN FRANKLIN COUNTY

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien and Sheriff Zach Scott announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned indictments against nine separate individuals involved in synthetic marijuana and bath salt trafficking activity from early to mid 2013 sales to police agents, which concluded with a search warrant roundup on June 26, 2013.  The following individuals have been indicted:

Raed Eteish, age 44, Columbus, 14CR2669

Imad, Al-Aghaith, age 40, Columbus 43204, 14CR2718

Hamza Shalash, age 30, Westerville, 14CR2677

Mohammad Shalash, age 47, Columbus 43228, 14CR2679

Bajis Nasser Mohammed, age 21, Hilliard, 14CR2676

Abdelaziz Moussa, age 38, Hilliard, 14CR2681

Alaa Kamiel Al-Sulimin, age 41, Columbus 43228, 14CR2680

Imad K. Alshaibani, age 22, Columbus 43224, 14CR2673

The indictments range from multiple low level sales to F1 Aggravated Possession, Aggravated Trafficking, and Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity.  The investigation was conducted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, agents of the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Ohio Investigative Unit, as well as assistance by ICE.  O’Brien stated, “as of today, warrants have been issued and authorities are looking for all of these defendants, however Abdelaziz Moussa is in custody.”
