Additional Indictments Handed Down In Bath Salts Cases

Defendant: Bath Salts Indictment
Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has handed down additional indictments in the first three cases involving the trafficking of bath salts in Franklin County against the following defendants: Soleiman Mobarak, DOB 11/25/82, of 1830 Solera Drive, Columbus 43229 Hasan Mobarak, DOB 12/14/83, of 4159 Rita Joanne Lane, Columbus 43230 Thomas C. Smith, DOB 5/29/55, of 3262 Drake Avenue, Groveport 43125 Thomas Smith, the owner of the Garden, the Joint, and the Chamber, all located between 1174 and 1186 N. High Street, was indicted on ten additional charges last week for one of the variations of synthetic cathinone (bath salts) found during the two search warrants executed on May 2nd and July 25th, 2012. Counts in that indictment include Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs and Aggravated Possession of Drugs. Soleiman and Hasan Mobarak, the owners/employees of the S and K Market, located just around the corner at 127. E. 5th Street in Columbus, were indicted today on ten additional charges, ranging from RICO, Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, Aggravated Possesion of Drugs, and Attempted Aggravated Possession of Drugs. The S and K Market was also the subject of two search warrants on May 2nd and July 25th, 2012, and various other buys and searches.
