ADULT SUSPECT IN MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP MURDER, FELONIOUS ASSAULT, AND AGGRAVATED ROBBERY INDICTED

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This man and his teenage accomplice charged into a home during the middle of the day, pulled out handguns, and started shooting.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Bradley D. Lubell, age 28, for one count of Aggravated Murder, two counts Murder, one count Attempted Murder, one count Felonious Assault, one count Aggravated Burglary, and two counts of Aggravated Robbery, all counts with a firearm specification, for a total of eight counts. The indictment alleges that on May 4, 2017, Lubell was involved in a home invasion armed robbery that resulted in the shooting death of James Bradford Black, age 34, and the wounding of Erik Steven Taylor, age 37. Police also arrested a teenager, Deveron Huett, age 16, in connection with the home invasion. Huett has been charged with delinquency counts of Aggravated Murder and Aggravated Robbery. There will be a bindover hearing in Juvenile Court for Huett on June 15th. Arraignment for Lubell will be tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
