Cleaning Lady Indicted For Pawned Jewelry Valued Over $8,000

Today, Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Tasha Shiflet, age 22 for one count (F-4) Receiving Stolen Property. Shiflet was employed as a cleaning lady for a national cleaning service and was contracted to clean a home in Worthington. On June 6th, two necklaces owned by that home owner, were pawned at Lev’s Pawn Shop located at 1275 Parsons Avenue. “This was an entrusted employee who abused her position for her own personal gain”. “If convicted on this charge, the defendant faces a maximum of eighteen months incarceration”, O’Brien stated. Arraignment for Shiflet is set for August 3, 2011 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
