Defendant: Kyle Richard Black

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “the tragic and avoidable death of this baby was the result of the 11 month old ingesting narcotics while in the care of his parents”.    O’Brien announced that Kyle Richard Black, age 29, plead guilty today to one count of Involuntary Manslaughter  (F-1) in connection to the May 13, 2015 death of 11 month old Dominic Dickinson that occurred in a house located at 1494 Blaine Drive where the family lived.  In the early afternoon, Police received a call saying that there was a baby at this address that was not breathing.  Medics responded and pronounced the baby deceased shortly thereafter.  “It was later determined that the baby had lethal doses of heroin and fentanyl in his system, which caused his death,” O’Brien stated.  The court ordered a Pre-Sentence Investigation, and Black’s sentencing is set for June 1st, 2016.  “Black faces a potential eleven years in prison,” O’Brien stated.
