Today, Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Kimberly Sue Brooks, age 54, for allegedly giving a 4 year old family friend methadone. The defendant told police the little girl wasn’t feeling well.

Brooks, who is from Bronx, New York, was in Columbus visiting the little girl’s family. Brooks has been indicted for one count Felonious Assault (F-2), one count Endangering Children (F-2), and one count Endangering Children (F-3), for a total of three counts. O’Brien stated, “Feeding Methadone to a child can and did cause serious physical harm. Adults should never give medication or drugs of any kind to children without the approval of their family doctor.”
