FORMER CHILD CARE EMPLOYEE PLEADS GUILTY TO SEX RELATED CHARGES INVOLVING A CHILD

Defendant: Nathan Charles Fassnacht

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “One of the stipulations of this plea is that this sex offender will now be required to register every 180 days for the next 25 years.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that Nathan Charles Fassnacht, age 34, plead guilty to one count of Sexual Battery (F-3), three counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct With a Minor (F-3), and three counts of Pandering Obscenity Involving a Minor (F-2), for a total of seven counts in connection to the on-going sexual abuse of a child that occurred over the time spans of November 2000 to August 2001, April 2008 to November 2008, and on or about December 2, 2013.  Fassnacht was a former employee at the OSU Child Care Center Columbus Main Campus as well as the Mansfield Campus.  Fassnacht was also a former employee at Buckeye Ranch in Grove City, which is a residential treatment center for troubled youth.      O’Brien commended the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Ohio State University Police Department for their thorough investigation of this case.  “A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and Fassnacht faces a potential sentence of 44 years in prison when he is sentenced on October 13th, 2016,” O’Brien stated.
