Grove City Man Indicted For Fatal Stabbing Of Ex-wife

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Jeremy Roberts, age 38, for one count Aggravated Murder (prior calculation and design), and one count Murder (purposely done), for a total of two counts, in connection to the June 10, 2012 stabbing of his ex-wife that occurred outside his apartment located at 3246 Townhouse Drive in Grove City. The maximum penalty that Roberts faces is Life Without Parole on the Aggravated Murder count. At approximately 9:00 am, Police received a 911 call reporting that Roberts had allegedly fatally stabbed Candice Roberts, age 36, after she had arrived at the residence to pick up her children following a weekend visit with their father. O’Brien commended the 911 dispatcher and Grove City Police for rapidly securing the area. Roberts will be arraigned on Friday, June 22nd at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
