Hilltop Area Creeper Indicted

Defendant: Deneen Black

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a nine count indictment against Deneen Leonard Black, age 32, for his alleged involvement in a string of burglaries that occurred between December 28, 2011 and August 8, 2012. Black has been indicted for seven counts of Burglary (F-2), one count of Kidnapping (F-1), and one count of Gross Sexual Imposition (F-4). The defendant is registered as a sexually oriented offender and his home is close to where many of the incidents occurred. O’Brien stated, “Most of the victims in this case were sleeping, only to wake up with the defendant allegedly watching and/or touching them”. O’Brien commended the Columbus Police Department for their investigation and apprehension of this serial burglar. Arraignment is set for Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2A at 345 S. High Street.
