Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This husband and wife team used the credit card information from three customers to make personal purchases for themselves and for their company in excess of $20,000. They used one of the credit cards 63 times without permission.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Melissa Jane Martin, AKA Missy, age 55, and her husband Douglas H. Martin, age 56. The eight count indictment includes charges of Theft, Identity Fraud, and Misuse of Credit Cards. The Martins are the owners/office managers of Westerville Heating and Cooling located at 5596 E. The Martin’s would later use those credit cards without authorization,” O’Brien stated. O’Brien commended the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office for their investigation of the case. Arraignment for the couple is set for today, November 10th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2A at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus. O’Brien further stated, “If you believe you may have been victimized by this company, you should contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.”
