INDICTMENT FILED ON MOM THAT SENT TEXT MESSAGE TO HER EX WITH PICTURE OF THEIR BABY WITH A GUN POINTED AT THE BABY’S HEAD

Defendant: Fasshon Monique Shivers

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This woman pointed a semi-automatic handgun to her 17 month old daughter’s head, took a picture of it, and sent the photo to her ex, the baby’s father.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Fasshon Monique Shivers, age 30, in connection to the series of events that occurred on May 31st, 2017 starting in the area of Fairwood Avenue in Columbus.  “After the baby’s father received the frightening photo, he contacted the police, as he was concerned for the safety of his daughter,” O’Brien stated.  An Amber Alert was issued, and several hours later the baby and her mother were located in Coolville, Ohio.  Shivers has been indicted for two counts of Kidnapping with Firearm Specifications and one count of Endangering Children, for a total of three counts.  Arraignment of Shivers is set for this Friday, June 16th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 South High Street in downtown Columbus.
