Defendant: Lawrence Dibble
Between April and May 2009, Lawrence Dibble allegedly put his hand up the skirt of an 18 year old female student and fondled her while they were on school property. Wellington School is a private school located at 3650 Reed Road in Upper Arlington. Dibble was the theatre director at the school and had been on staff there since 1998. As the investigation by the Upper Arlington Police progressed, it was discovered and alleged in the indictment that Dibble installed a secret camera at the school and surreptitiously videotaped theater students in various stages of undress. Dibble has been indicted today by a Franklin County Grand Jury for 17 counts of Voyeurism (F-5), 3 counts Voyeurism (M-2), and 1 count Sexual Imposition (M-3), for a total of 21 counts. All victims have been contacted by the Upper Arlington Police but are identified in the indictment only by initials. None of the victims are still students at the school.
A warrant was issued for Dibble’s arrest and he is expected to surrender himself.
