Indictments Of Nineteen Separate Members And Associates Of Short North Posse

Defendant: Short North Posse
Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned indictments against nineteen separate members and associates of the Short North Posse, also known as the Short North Crips, operating in the Weinland Park area. The charges range from Engaging in a Pattern of Corrupt Activity, Participating in a Criminal Gang, Trafficking in Marijuana, Trafficking in Cocaine, Tampering with Evidence, Possession of Cocaine, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Improperly Handling Firearms in a Motor Vehicle, Having Weapon While Under Disability, Possession of Cocaine, Trafficking in Heroin, and Possession of Cocaine (crack) with Specification.
The sweep of alleged defendants today is the result of an investigation conducted over the past one and a half years by the Columbus Police 4th Precinct, Strategic Response Bureau, and County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien’s Office. Copies of the indictment will be available in the Prosecutor’s office.
