Jacob Ferrero Pleads Guilty to Aggravated Murder of his girlfriend and to the Murder of their unborn child, Aggravated Arson and Abuse of a Corpse

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that Jacob T. Ferrero, has entered Guilty Pleas of Aggravated Murder, Murder, Aggravated Arson and Gross Abuse of a Corpse.  Ferrero was on trial for the October 8, 2014 death of his pregnant girlfriend, Samantha Darlene Greenlee, who was age 22.  The Murder occurred inside their apartment located at 5169 Brambury Circle in Columbus.  The defendant murdered Samantha and her unborn baby.  Two days after their murder, Ferrero set their apartment on fire.  Greenlee’s body was discovered after it had been buried in a shallow grave in a wooded area off  Bixby Road in Groveport. The defendant will be sentenced on March 9, 2016.  O’Brien stated, “Ferrero faces a potential sentence of Life Without Parole.”
