JUAN RAMIERZ INDICTED FOR POSSESSING 7 KILOS OF FENTANYL – LARGEST BUST IN MEMORY IN COLUMBUS

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that Juan Ramirez was indicted today by the Franklin County Grand Jury under Case No. 16CR-2044 for two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs and two counts of Aggravated Possession of Drugs for possessing 7 kilos (15 lbs.) of Fentanyl – the drug being used to mix with Heroin and responsible for many overdoses in our state. Under the law the amount is 100 times the bulk amount and Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said per the agents on the case, this is the largest seizure of fentanyl in Franklin County. The charges are all first degree felonies, punishable by 11 years as to each count.
