Defendant: Clemon “DP” Parham
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien stated today, “this man and his co-defendants beat the victim to death, robbed him, and left his naked body behind trash bins in a parking lot of an apartment complex.” O’Brien has announced that Clemon “DP” Parham has been found guilty of the beating death of Florida concert promoter Kevin Connal, age 50, that occurred on August 19, 2011. The body of Connal was found naked and severely beaten in the parking lot of the Bexley Woods Apartments. Parham, Antione Dotson, age 29, and Martin Wallington, age 29, were all indicted in connection to the homicide. Parham, an admitted drug dealer, had invested money in concerts in May of 2011 and blamed Connal for the huge financial losses he suffered. On August 19th, 2011, Connal flew into Columbus and was seen on video surveillance at Port Columbus getting into a vehicle that belonged to Parham. Cell phone records placed Parham in close proximity to Connal throughout the day and in the area at the time of the homicide. Parham took another friend to view Connal’s body shortly after the beating and then confessed to two friends what he had done. Sentencing is set for November 2. Dotson plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter in connection to the death and will be sentenced at a later date. Wallington’s trial is set to begin on November 14th.
