Defendant: Robin Wallace Toms

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Robin Wallace Toms, age 30, for one count of Aggravated Arson (F-1), one count of Arson (F-4), one count of Vandalism (F-3), and one count of Breaking and Entering (F-5), for a total of four counts, in connection to the two-alarm fire reported in the early morning hours of December 14, 2015.  “The fire at the SJT Depot warehouse, located at 2662 Fisher Road on the west-side, destroyed about 80% of the building,” O’Brien commented.  “Fortunately no one was injured, however the destruction put dozens of people out of work, forced two schools to be closed for the day, required between 50-100 firefighters to fight the blaze, and the total losses are expected to be in the millions,” O’Brien further stated.  Arraignment for Toms is set for Monday, December 28, 2015, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.  “If convicted, Toms faces a potential sentence of eleven years in prison,” O’Brien stated.
