MAN INDICTED FOR FATAL SHOOTING OF EX-GIRLFRIEND IN UPS PARKING LOT

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “This is another tragic case of domestic violence where this man brutally killed his ex-girlfriend as she sat in her personal vehicle in the UPS employee parking lot.” Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Danny Ronald Fabro, age 54, for one count Aggravated Murder with Specification, two counts Murder with Specification, one count Improperly Handling Firearms In a Motor Vehicle, and one count Failure to Comply with an Order or Signal of a Police Officer, for a total of five counts, in connection to the February 17, 2017 shooting of his ex-girlfriend that occurred at the UPS Distribution Center located at 5101 Trabue Road on the west side of Columbus. At approximately 4:00 am, Police received a 911 call reporting that UPS employee Joyce Fox, age 50, had been shot. She was transported to the hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries. Witnesses at the scene of the shooting were able to provide descriptions of Fabro and his vehicle. Police spotted Fabro after he fled the scene, followed him, and used stop sticks to disable his truck near the intersection of W. Broad Street and N. Wilson Road. Mr. Fabro then shot himself, but survived his injuries. Fabro will be arraigned on Monday, May 22nd at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street in downtown Columbus.
