One Of Trio Connected To Dublin Sunoco Murder Changes Plea To Guilty

Defendant: Austin M. Cusey Plea Outcome

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that Austin M. Cusey, age 18, pled guilty at a hearing this morning in connection to the February 13, 2012 slaying of Mohamed Hassan, age 46, at the 201 W. Bridge Street Sunoco station in Dublin. Cusey also pled guilty for his involvement in the robbery that occurred on February 2, 2012 at the Dublin Max & Erma’s restaurant and the theft of 97 guns that occurred on February 8, 2012 at the Powder Room gun range in Powell. Cusey’s sentencing is set for December 3, 2012 before Judge Lynch in courtroom 7E at 345 South High Street. He faces a minimum sentence of 35 years to life and a maximum sentence of life without parole plus 74 years.
