OSU GRAD STUDENT INDICTED ON CHILD SEX CHARGES

Defendant: Nathan W. Baker

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Nathan William Baker, age 32, for two counts (F-5) Disseminating Matter Harmful to Juveniles, three counts (F-4) Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, one count (F-5) Importuning, and three counts (F-4) Attempted Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor, for a total of nine counts, in connection to an alleged meeting at a Grandview church that Baker set up, where he thought he was meeting with a 14 year old girl to engage in sexual activity.  When Baker arrived, he was greeted by members of the Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.  O’Brien stated, “if convicted on theses charges, Baker faces a potential ten years incarceration.”
