Defendant: Timothy G. Thompson

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Timothy G. Thompson, age 48, for one count (F-4) Theft. Thompson was a past secretary and treasurer for the soccer association over the course of approximately eight years. The business is a private non-profit organization and has no affiliation with the Reynoldsburg Parks and Recreation Department or the Reynoldsburg High School. Between October 2009 and June 2010, it is alleged that Thompson stole in excess of $14,000 for his own personal gain. O’Brien said “This was a trusted employee who abused his position.” The theft was discovered when parents brought up concerns over billing changes. “If found guilty on this charge, the defendant faces a potential eighteen months incarceration”, O’Brien stated.
