Second And Third Suspects Indicted In Connection To Dublin Gas Station Clerk Murder

Defendant: Austin Cusey And Jeffrey Collins

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned indictments against Austin Mackenzie Cusey, age 18, and Jeffrey M. Collins, age 22, for four counts (F-1) Aggravated Robbery with a gun Specification, two counts (F-1) Kidnapping with a gun Specification, one count (unclassified) Aggravated Murder with a gun Specification, one count (F-5) Breaking and Entering, one count (F-1) Theft, one count (F-3) Tampering with Evidence, and one count (F-3) Having Weapon While Under Disabilty, for a total of eleven counts, in connection to the February 13, 2012 death of Mohamed Hassan. Hassan, age 46, of Dublin, was found murdered inside the Sunoco station located at 201 W. Bridge Street. Suspect Eddie J. Murphy was indicted last month in connection to Hassan’s murder. Cusey and Collins were also indicted for the February 2nd robbery at the Dublin Max & Erms’s restaurant and the February 8th theft of 97 guns from the Powder Room gun range in Powell. O’Brien commended the Dublin and Powell Police Departments for their thorough investigations of the trio. Arraignment for Cusey and Collins is set for this Friday, May 25th at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S. High Street.
