Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “Even though this man was issued a ban from OSU campus in 2015, he trespassed in The Ohio Union and had sexual contact with a female without her consent.”  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned a three count indictment against Lonnie Boye Sturdivant, age 59, in connection to a groping incident that occurred on September 20, 2016 at The OSU Ohio Union located at 1793 North Union in Columbus.  Sturdivant has been indicted for Burglary, Sexual Imposition, and Criminal Trespass.  “This defendant has eleven prior misdemeanor convictions for Sexual Imposition in Franklin County going back to 1985.  As he has now allegedly committed an F-2 Burglary, if convicted, this defendant will hopefully face some significant jail time,” O’Brien stated.  O’Brien commended the Columbus and OSU Police Departments for their apprehension of Sturdivant.  Arraignment for Sturdivant is set for next Monday, October 3, 2016 at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2B at 345 S.
