TINY RASCALS GANGSTER INDICTED FOR AGGRAVATED MURDER AFTER INTENTIONALLY RUNNING VICTIM DOWN WITH HIS VEHICLE

Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said, “A teenager who ruthlessly used his vehicle to run down a victim and then fled the scene on Christmas Day last year, is now facing serious felony charges”.  Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announced today that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against Emory Thomas Clay, age 18, for one count Aggravated Murder with Specification (unclassified), one count Murder with Specification (unclassified), one count Participating in a Criminal Gang (F-2), one count Intimidation of an Attorney, Victim or Witness in a Criminal Case (F-3), One count Carrying a Concealed Weapon (F-4), one count Tampering with Evidence with Specification (F-3), and one count Having Weapons While Under Disability (F-3), for a total of seven counts.  The indictment alleges that on December 25, 2015, Clay, while participating in the criminal gang the Tiny Rascals Gangsters aka TRG, purposely and maliciously used his vehicle to run down Houng J. Lamngeon, age 32, causing his death.  The incident occurred on Christmas Day at the intersection of Whitehead Road and S. Richardson Avenue in the Hilltop.  O’Brien stated, “if convicted of all charges, Clay  faces a potential sentence of life in prison”.  Clay was formally arraigned yesterday afternoon in Common Pleas Court and was given a $2.5 million dollar bond.
