VANDALISM INDICTMENT FILED ON WOMAN PAINTING THREATENING MESSAGE ON PLANNED PARENTHOOD BUILDING CAUSING THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE

Defendant: Rachel Ann Jackson

Prosecutor Ron O’Brien announces that the Franklin County Grand Jury has returned an indictment on Rachel Ann Jackson, age 70, in connection to the March 7, 2016 paint vandalism that occurred on the Planned Parenthood building located at 3225 E. Main Street east of downtown Coumbus.  Jackson was indicted for one count Breaking and Entering (F-5), one count Vandalism (F-5), and one count Aggravated Trespass (M-1), for a total of three counts.

It is alleged that on March 7th, Jackson approached the Planned Parenthood building and painted “SATAN DEN OF BABY KILLERS GOD SEE ALL – MARK 9:42” on the outside wall of the facility, causing thousands of dollars’ worth of damage.  “If found guilty of these charges, Jackson faces a potential 24 months in prison in addition to 6 months in county jail”, O’Brien stated.  O’Brien commended the Columbus Police Department Criminal Intelligence Unit and the FBI for their investigation of Jackson.  Arraignment for Jackson is set for Friday, April 15, 2016, at 1:30 pm in courtroom 2A at 345 South High Street.
